Boutari Moschofilero at Disney World

April 13, 2010

Above: Sanaa Restaurant at the Disney World Resort in Florida serves African cuisine with Indian flavors for lunch and dinner at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. Just as its name — in Swahili — means “work of art,” Sanaa offers its guests beautifully prepared food in an artistic atmosphere.

Who doesn’t like Disney World? And what could be better than great food and great wine at Disney World?

We were thrilled to read over at the Disney World food blog that Cork’d.com had recommended Boutari Moschofilero as one of the top wines on the Sanaa wine list.

Here’s what the folks at Cork’d had to say:

2008 Boutari Moschofilero: Moschofilero isn’t your everyday Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. This grape has made a name for itself in Greece, where it makes a distinctly spicy, floral wine. Boutari is the most recognized name in Greek wine, making quality, highly distributed wines with sexy, lesser known grapes.

Greek wine tasting hosted by Corkd.com

December 11, 2009

The Boutari family was thrilled to take part in one of the first Cork’d (Corkd.com) live tastings, on Wednesday evening, December 9, at the Roger Smith Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, New York. If you haven’t check out Cork’d yet, it’s Gary Vaynerchuk’s new social media site for wine, where you can share tasting notes, become friends with “drinking buddies,” and network and schmooze with all sort of people from all walks of the wine industry — from consumer to expert taster.

Twenty lucky tasters who answered Gary Vaynerchuk’s personal invitation (via Twitter) joined us for a tasting of 3 Boutari wines.

Thanks to all the great tasters for coming out to taste and thanks to Lindsay Ronga and Jon Troutman for organizing!
