Scenes from Wicker Park Fest in Chicago

August 2, 2010

Boutari was there!

We may not have won the Miss Wicker Park contest over the weekend at Chicago’s annual Wicker Park Fest (that’s winner, “Miss Hopkins if You’re Nasty”), but Boutari was there pouring Greek wines and sharing the flavors and aromas of Greece with attendees, who came for the arts, crafts, music, and food and wine.

We did have over-sized photos of Greece and its monuments, like this one to the left, where folks could pose in front of some of their favorite Greek landmarks, like the Parthenon.

There were some amazing Chicago bands as well as national-touring acts that performed over the course of the two-day festival, including hometown favorite (and Rolling Stone magazine darling) Local H.

But the act that seemed to steal the show was out of New York, indie rock and power pop outfit fun., who brought down the house with their hit song “At Least I’m Not As Sad As I Used To Be.”

Check out this review of the show by Windy City Rock here.

If you couldn’t make it this year, we’ll look forward to seeing you next time around. We’ll be at the stand where they’re pouring Moschofilero! See you then!
