The Boutari estate in Naoussa is the winery’s oldest and continues to serve as its flagship: it is here, in northern Greece, that Yiannis Boutari first began to bottle and ship his beloved Xinomavro grape, a variety native to Greece, still used to make Boutari’s top-selling and most collected red wines, Naoussa and Grand Reserve Naoussa. The high altitudes and cool temperatures of the Vermion mountains create perfect conditions for the production of age-worthy, structured red wines.
